| On the men’s side, the Wittenberg highlight was turned in by an All-NCAC performance by junior Cody Nicely (Knoxville, Tenn./Bearden). The 2004 NCAC Diver of the Year, Nicely placed third in the 1-meter diving competition and sixth in the 3-meter event. School Website Feb 2003: The Aqua Dog Swim and Dive Team brought home the third place trophy from the KISL City Meet after narrowly missing second place by just 4 points. Bearden divers started off the meet with a second place finish by Jennifer Kite. The swimmers captured these first place finishes; Matt Jacobssen in the 200 Free and 500 Free, Sarah McCall in the 200 IM, Annie Broome in the 100 Fly, and the 400 Free Relay team of Michael Tribble, Sam Kirk, Dietrich Tullos, and Matt Jacobssen. Twenty swimmers and five divers advanced to finals competition. Twenty eight members have qualified for state and will compete in Nashville on Feb. 21-22. Congratulations Aqua Dogs for your third place finish! |
